Honda Community Planting Event Nova Scotia – June 13, 2015

The community that plants together, grows together!

Join Forests Ontario, Forest Recovery Canada and their partners, including event supporters Honda and Clean Foundation on June 13th. Take part in a free workshop that will provide participants with a practical and hands-on opportunity to learn about tree planting! Learn about the proper techniques of tree planting and elements of designing, examine the history of the planting area and dig in to a hands-on planting opportunity and mulch installation!

· Seedling sourcing and handling
· Design of planting for optimal snow catching and wind reduction
· Techniques and equipment of tree planting
· Maintenance strategies to improve seedling survival
