No cake for Canada as Greenpeace delivers giant cake to celebrate the entry into force of the Biosafety Protocol

Montreal, September 10, 2003 ? To celebrate the imminent entry into force of the Biosafety Protocol, Greenpeace delivered a giant cake to the UN Secretariat responsible for the Protocol, a giant cake covered with the flags of the 56 nations that have ratified. Canada, which has yet to ratify, will not have its share of the cake. Greenpeace has frozen a slice of the cake to be delivered to the Prime Minister once Canada finally ratifies the Protocol.
