Oil bill battle opens in U.S. – Alaska senator vows to get drills going in wildlife refuge

WASHINGTON — Republican Senators are pushing ahead with legislation to open a remote patch of Arctic wilderness to oil drilling — the opening volley of what's expected to be the fiercest environmental battle of the Bush presidency.
